Hey y’all!

My name is January, a mid-western born and raised girl, that followed love to the great state of Texas! 

I am a married mother of 2. I have 2 beautiful girls named Brynna (11) and Landree (4). My husband and I got married January 24, 2015.

My husband is a retired Professional Baseball Player, currently working for Dow Chemical. He retired in 2016 and we both took that year off to focus on our growing family, and I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up! I didn’t want to work for anyone else, I knew that much. I knew whatever I did, I would be the boss to guide people through their mistakes instead of downgrading them for making them. 

In high school I use to love to sew, I’d design my own clothes! Although I had outgrown that stage, clothes still intrigued me! I wanted to be able to dress anyone who came in and wasn’t sure about what style fit for their body type. I am not the ideal body type for modeling, I’ve had 2 kids, I drink beer, and I like to eat. Lol I do love to dress in cute clothes and not feel uncomfortable though! The idea of opening up by own boutique came about! It kept me my own boss, still kept me interacting with people (I’ve always been a people person), and made me feel good about making others feel good! With my husbands blessing and help, we purchased a building in Historic Downtown Richmond, TX and opened Rustic Closet Boutique on February 23, 2017. 

Let me tell ya, owning your own business is no joke. Some days are harder than others, but you always push yourself to be the best you can! I have made many amazing friends, some of them have been other boutique owners, some of them have been loyal customers! At the end of the day, I know I made the right choice for my family, my happiness, and my heart!
